Get ready for a dream journey immersed in culture and nature, for an authentic Tuscan life experience.
I welcome travelers who love above all, peace and beauty
My name is Podere Gonzaga and I am a stone’s throw away from Pienza, built to be the ideal town of the Renaissance, in one of the most iconic places in Tuscany. I am a typical stone farmhouse immersed in the unique natural landscape of Val d’Orcia. I have been completely restored respecting the typical local rural tradition and adding those modern details that will surely contribute to make a comfortable stay. In addition to hosting you, if you wish, I will be able to give useful advice for your stay in order to discover the riches of the Tuscan territory and to make sure that the time spent here is an experience of harmony and hospitality.

What I have to offer
Echoes of comforting traditions and modern ideas in every room
Thanks to my recent renovation my historical features have been enhanced (exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, Tuscan parquet and travertine, but enriched with comfortable details (soundproofing, air conditioning, mosquito nets, large bathrooms).
Wi-Fi
Fast internet connection with wi-fi everywhere, was also a must.
Bookcase corner
On the first floor, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Amiata from my typical loggia , I have also set up a living room with library where you can find magazines, tours and local activities info, novels etc.
Lush Garden solarium
I am surrounded by a lush garden with deckchairs, tables and chairs from which you can enjoy picturesque sunsets while sipping a glass of your favorite wine.
Gourmet breakfast
There is an Italian common saying that states that " mornings have gold in their mouth", so I thought of offering my guests a gourmet breakfast rich in natural products of my territory every morning. Since Michele, my new owner, is a musician, I suggested he prepared for our guests a selection of music that discreetly will accompany their breakfast.
Cultural & private events
The large stable, that when I was first built was the shelter for my farm animals, has now become a cozy lounge with a lovely bar, opened on weekends for wine and local product tastings and cozy aperitifs with the capacity to host private & cultural events like jazz & classical music concerts.
Private parking for cars and bikes
For those arriving by car or motorbike I have arranged a secured private parking, while for the more adventurous arriving by bike I have a small shed inside the garden.
Comfort without compromise
As I said, despite having benefited from a restoration respectful of the Tuscan rural tradition, I have not neglected those details that will contribute to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Puccini
Color red is to recall the velvet used in theaters of the 19th century, the four-poster bed, custom armchairs and the super wardrobe create a pleasant and elegant atmosphere. A Tuscan from Lucca, Giacomo Puccini is considered one of the most significant artist in the history of Opera.
Mozart
A light blue, air-colored, very common in the decoration and painting of the 18th century, characterizes the room with a four-poster bed, custom armchairs and study. In the wardrobe a reference to eighteenth-century golden decorations. It was the time of the Grand Tour, the journey to discover the cultural roots.
Miles Davis
It captures the sense of modernity combined with a popular taste and cultured at the same time in the room dedicated to Miles Davis. Straight lines, neutral colors, use of metal, create a New York atmosphere with touches of vintage industrial flavor. “Life and music are just a matter of style”, as this trumpeter and […]
Jobim
Intense colors and natural materials recall the richness of the Brazilian landscape in the room dedicated to Antonio Carlos Jobim (or simply Tom Jobim). In the decorations there are Amazonian references combined with wood and shades of green that expresses an atmosphere of fascinating exotic taste that combined with the essence of Tuscany become like […]
Beatles
The Beatles marked an era in music, fashion and pop art and, inevitably, in the decor of this room. Quotes such as the pedestrian strips of Abbey Road in the homonymous record, or the famous “Yellow Submarine” up to the map of England: everything refers to a period and a legendary band. The yellow in […]
Ravel
Inspired by the colors of Maurice Ravel’s home, a combination of blue and mustard, this room reveals details of the early twentieth century, well blended with the elements of the Tuscan countryside. The room, located in the dependance, has a kitchenette and a lovely private patio from which you can enjoy the view of Mount […]
